Better Behaviour Better Learning

BBBL – Better Behaviour Better Learning

To start the year we had a mini topic ‘Better Behaviour better Learning’. We have learned so much and revised some of the things we already knew.

In ‘Heartstart’ we practised how to call for help, how to put somebody in the recovery position and how to help someone who is choking.

We also practised the emergency evacuation procedures and learned our escape routes from various places in the building and where to go to get counted. We used microsoft publisher to create evacuation procedures.

To help us have a happy and safe year and to ensure others in the school are happy and safe, we made classroom and wet weather charters. In the first week we have already had to monitor at wet weather – it was good fun and we did a super job!

As a ‘Rights Respecting School’ we revisited various articles from the UNCRC (ask us what that means) and discussed our basic human rights. We found it interesting that every human has the same rights and that rights are very different to wants! We also learned that there are situations where rights can be conflicting so we had to think really hard about this. We are very lucky in this country to have our human rights so highly regarded.
