Willow Tunnel

Willow Tunnel

Some Primary 6 children, some members of the Eco Committee and two very much appreciated parent helpers recently spent an afternoon outside working on the willow tunnel.

We were very lucky to have Alan McBride, a ranger from Mugdock Country Park, come along to help us weave the willow tunnel.

Can you spot Alan above the willow tunnel?

He showed us how to properly weave the willow branches in and out to make it neat and tidy again.

We worked very hard and now the children in Primary 6 will be able to share their new weaving knowledge with the rest of the school, meaning that we can maintain the willow tunnel ourselves from now on.

Have a look at the finished tunnel.

A big well done to everyone who helped and thank you to Alan for coming to show us how it's done.
